AMY PARK

Head Coach

I am thrilled to be a part of the Pride Beach Volleyball Program!  This is my first beach program of my coaching career as I have been a part of indoor volleyball from the start.  I have played indoor for 8 years, which I have made the decision to medically retire from while playing for ASU's Club Volleyball team. I am familiar with both aspects of the sport, though I am strictly competing and training in beach volleyball now. I have coached since I was 18 years old, starting with the Desert Vista Boys Volleyball team (JV) as this will be my 5th year coaching volleyball.  I am also affiliated with Aspire Volleyball Club and Mountain Pointe's Girls Volleyball program for indoor.

My goal is to open doors for any and all athletes to have a safe environment where they are able to enjoy the sport.  I want to be able to grow these young athletes to be successful on and off the court.

I thank Mountain Pointe for this opportunity to not only grow my knowledge as a coach, but to have the privilege to be associated with a group of people who are so passionate in what they do.

GO PRIDE!

MARGARET DANTZLER

Volunteer Coach

Please welcome our very own, Margaret, who takes time out of her day to make this team shine even more!  She is familiar with the rules and fundamentals of this sport. Her daughter, Ashley McCowin (Sr. - Captain), has been involved with club sand for the last few years.  We are more than grateful to have her on our team!

Have a question for any of our coaches? Want to learn how to become part of our team?

“Celebrate the rewarding wins and learn from the tough losses. A loss will never define you as an athlete, thus being able to experience and learn from the losses will only make you a stronger athlete.”

“Make those mistakes. And keep making them because once you realize you are mistake-free, that means you won’t have any room for growth.”

“Learn to adapt to different environments, coaches, players, teams, or whatever your challenge may be - as that will provide a stronger mentality for you on and off the court.”

"Your mind and body are dependent to one another, fuel your body, as you will fuel your mind."

"Move from self-judgement to self-acceptance.   Acknowledge where you're at without passing judgement towards yourself.  Honesty is the only path forward." - Donovan Martin

"Be patient with your growth.  Nothing changes overnight."
